Getting started

The minimum path to understand QAC, enable an automation, and read your first execution.

Who this guide is for

This guide is for users entering Quantum Automation Center for the first time and needing to understand what must be configured before running an automation.

It also helps teams test a specific use case, such as shipment monitoring, without getting into internal technical details.

Mental model

Quantum organizes work into four pieces:

  • Automations: processes that check, transform, or generate information.
  • AI agents: assistants with defined tools, permissions, and goals.
  • Executions: each run of an automation or agent.
  • Reports: outputs that summarize results, changes, alerts, or pending decisions.

The goal is not for users to understand infrastructure. The goal is for users to configure operational data, run the flow, review results, and take action.

  1. Create your account or accept your organization invitation.
  2. Confirm you are working in the right organization.
  3. Open the automation you want to use.
  4. Complete the required configuration.
  5. Save the configuration.
  6. Run a controlled test.
  7. Review the timeline, visible logs, artifacts, and report.
  8. Schedule the automation when the output is correct.

How to know it worked

A first flow is configured correctly when:

  • The execution appears as completed.
  • The input data is what you expected.
  • The report reaches the configured recipients.
  • Errors or review items are clearly visible.
  • The automation can run again without filling everything from scratch.

Good operating habits

  • Start with a few real records or controlled test data.
  • Configure report recipients that belong to the operating team.
  • Check language and time zone before scheduling.
  • Do not upload passwords, tokens, sensitive documents, or information the screen does not request.
  • Use the timeline to understand where a review item happened.
